When you come and visit Sen Monorom in Mondulkiri you need to book a tour to visit the jungle. It is not possible to find the walking tracks on your own – you need a guide.

· Our Elephant of Bunong and Jungle Treks are located in some of the best jungle close to Sen Monorom.

· We are not owned and operated by Westerners.

· We have Sen Monorom’s only Bunong homestay in Putang village. Our Bunong homestay in Putang village provides a good place for lunch, to relax during our elephant trek adventure tour or to stay during your overnight trip.

· On our tours you get to swim with an elephant and wash it in the river to help prevent skin infections on the elephant.

· You will see and learn about elephant habits and their close relationship to the Bunong indigenous people

· No elephant riding

· We use Bunong guides who have grown up living in the jungle village you will be trekking through.

· We are a new community organization and your support is essential for us to continue to operate with our people.

Where your money does goes?

Your trekking money goes towards supporting Elephants health care, Student future, community forest and Bunong health care you will visit for long term. This prevents logging and habitat destruction in this area. No other treks you will book in Sen Monorom supporting to Bunong people.

So you will be helping to conserve a forest which is now providing economically and ecologically sustainable income for the local Bunong people.

Do we need to book?

Yes you need to book a tour. Please email or phone us. It is best to book in advance.

How do we pay?

Please pay in US dollars at the start of your trip. There is an Acleda and Canadia Bank in Sen Monorom that has an ATM machine that accepts Visa Card. There is place in Sen Monorom to withdraw money using a MasterCard.

How do we get to the Mondulkiri Ethnic Project?

Mondulkiri is only five hours mini bus ride from Phnom Penh.

Why should I visit Sen Monorom during my Cambodian holiday?
